Begun in 1963 as Whitworth and Hall and attaining its present form in 1985, The Whitworth Co-Partnership has an established reputation for a range of architectural and building surveying projects. Boniface Associates was set up in 1993 and has an established reputation in general and building surveying. The practices merged on 1 January 2000, we took over Andrew Andersons Norwich Practice in 2004. We specialise in work to historic buildings, and solutions to complex problems in difficult areas. We are probably the most experienced group of independent conservation specialists in East Anglia and the Northern Home Counties.

The practice provides a combination of different skills across the spectrum of architectural and surveying work. Clients are offered a service combining energy, experience and a high level of professionalism and personal attention.

We seek to maintain high professional standards in all the work we do and give our clients value for money through the quality of our service.

With offices in Bury St Edmunds, Norwich, Bishops Stortford and our associate practice in York, we serve clients throughout the eastern half of the country from the south coast to the Shetland Islands. Our mission is to:

  • Create well mannered building of a sympathetic modern design complying with building regulations or exceeding recognised standards of safety, energy conservation and special standards, which comply with the client's brief.
  • Provide a comprehensive service to building owners, to enable them to maintain, correct faults and facilitate repairs of a quality to match the existing buildings using the most appropriate means, with sufficient backup information to make informed decisions about future maintenance policy.
  • Survey and inspect buildings and communicate a building's repair requirements in non technical terms to enable clients to appreciate the building repair requirements, commensurate with the client's Brief.
  • Communicate effectively and courteously and to approach each project with a commitment based on the Christian moral code, considering the client first and being prepared to give extra service, giving value for money, being honest and open in all our dealings with clients and contractors and fair and just to clients, contractors and staff.
  • In all instances to undertake projects in a structured and methodical manner in accordance with the procedures laid out in our Quality Manual.
