The Cottage is located in rural Suffolk and before works began was a 3 bedroom bungalow. The works comprised of partial demolition and a rebuild to create a spacious 2 storey family house, with a remodeled ground floor layout.
There is a large kitchen diner incorporating a hand built oak staircase. The living room has been expanded and there is a fireplace which opens up into both the living room and the kitchen. Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms and a large family bathroom off a central landing.
The property is fitted with underfloor heating on the 1st floor and all the heating is supplied via a ground source heat pump. Thick sheep’s wool insulation has been used in some of the roof voids and Pavatherm cladding has been used on the existing walls that were not demolished to add insulation to the property, this helps to endure a high level of insulation throughout the property. The property has been fully upgraded to meet current Building Regulations.
Oak joinery has been fitted throughout and the building is finished with a lime render.
