The extension and repair works to this timber framed cottage have now been completed. The new extension replaces an ugly hexagonal conservatory and creates a new kitchen and dining space with master bedroom and en-suite above.
Extensive repairs were undertaken to the original cottage , including reconstruction of a severely decayed chimney and timber timber frame repairs. this work included incorporating breathable multi foil insulation over the timber frame before re-cladding with weatherboarding. Areas of cement render were renewed with lime render to help prevent further decay of the timber frame.
