We were appointed by the PCC of St Marys Church Feltwell to undertake designs for a substantial re-ordering of the north aisle, Following the discovery of dry rot in the pew plinths of the north aisle the decision was taken to take this opportunity to undertake a substantial project to improve community use of the church building, setting it back into the heart of its community.

The scheme design we have developed creates a community hall space in the north aisle with gallery above for the local museum collection and as an education facility. At the west end are toilet and kitchen facilities in an oak clad pod with a stair case running around the pod to access the first floor accommodation. A small acoustically separate meeting room is created above the ground floor facilities as the pod structure extends up wards. At the east end of the north aisle a platform lift and secondary stair case are to be installed providing access for all, and a secondary means of escape. At present the church are fund raising in order to take this project forward.
