Reordering: St Nicholas Hospice
Whitworth was appointed by St Nicholas Hospice to design and oversee their proposed refurbishment to the Inpatient Unit.
Project Overview
This was a very fast track project requiring close communication and working relationship with St Nicholas Hospice. In order for the hospice to rearrange their organisation sufficiently to maintain their service whilst the works are being carried out an initial preliminary contact was carried out to alter and partially refurbish the existing day hospice temporarily converting it into the summer ward providing six hospice bed spaces during the main refurbishment works. This initial phase of works has now been completed. The main refurbishment works started on site on 28 April 2008 and were completed towards the end of the summer.
