St Peter and Paul, an important medieval church, required modern facilities to include a WC and servery.
Preliminary studies showed that only the existing semi-circular gallery at the West end of the church in front of the tower was suitable for the facilities. A timber framed structure was formed with paneling to match that of the existing gallery and reflect the existing curve.
The accommodation created from this was an equal access WC, servery and storage cupboard. Further decoration work was undertaken in the existing vestry behind the gallery. The plumbing was fitted into the existing redundant heating ducts and a trench arch drain was constructed in the churchyard, with archaeological oversight.
