We are actively looking to develop our building surveying services and are now seeking a recently qualified Chartered Building Surveyor to join our growing surveying team.
Whitworth is a multi-disciplinary practice of architects and surveyors with a successful and award winning track record. We are now looking to expand our surveying department. If you are interested in joining our friendly practice and working with interesting and unique buildings then we would be delighted to hear from you.
The role will involve provision of a wide range of professional services, including:
Whilst we are not looking for a conservation specialist an interest in conservation is necessary and some knowledge of conservation would be an advantage, but we would provide appropriate training in any event. We are a small-medium practice with offices in Bury St Edmunds, Bishop’s Stortford and Norwich. The surveyor will be based at one of our offices (according to convenience) and will be expected to travel throughout East Anglia and the East Midlands.
The successful applicant will have good people skills and an ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, but also a good team player. A wide range of building surveying skills is desirable.
Candidates must be able to combine technical knowledge of residential building surveying with business acumen and an ability to assist in the development of the surveying department over time. An ability to liaise effectively with clients, other professionals and contractors is essential.
