The COVID-19 pandemic has presented specific challenges and opportunities for anyone considering renovating their home. Homeowners have spent more time in their homes in the last twelve months than in any year previously. Perhaps spending more time than before looking at renovations that we have been ‘meaning to’ get around to has been a motivating factor. There’s a chance that spending more time at home is making opportunities for renovations more apparent.
Home renovation is in part based on a vision of the future, and that aspect of change has been challenging this year. One of the problems homeowners are facing is a lack of information regarding how much or how little the pandemic might affect their plans. That being said, we are also aware of many homeowners who believe that the challenges of COVID-19 may have affected their plans, but not severely enough to bring their plans to a halt.
Here at Whitworth, we have changed the way we collaborate with property owners; our architects are still working and we are performing consultancy services like building surveying remotely.
We want to know how we can help people wishing to renovate, extend or adapt their homes.
Please fill in the brief survey below to let us know if the COVID-19 pandemic has affected your plans to renovate, extend or adapt your home. As a ‘thank you’ for completing the survey we will gift a subscription to ‘Build It‘, the self-build and renovation magazine, to one entrant at random. The survey closes on March 31st 2021. This giveaway is not affiliated with Build It Magazine. No cash alternative. UK entrants only.
