We were excited to see that the BBC recently visited The Three Tuns, a pub in Cambridgeshire which our surveyors inspected and advised before its purchase by the Guilden Morden community.
The Grade-II listed pub stood vacant for over five years prior to its purchase by residents of Guilden Morden, as well as investors from further afield such as Ashwell and Steeple Morden. Now with 267 shareholders, The Three Tuns is, of November 2018, a community-run pub and is currently in the process of renovation and looking for a tenant.
Since its purchase, the pub has been host to a series of pop-up events. Last week, their pop-up cafe event attracted attention from the BBC, who joined in on the festivities and reported from the event on Look East.
The Three Tuns will host another pop-up on 2nd February 2019, which we hope to attend. We are delighted to see how the pub is coming back to life, improving the atmosphere and economy of the village of Guilden Morden and the lives of its residents.
